Our names are Marcus and Isa. We are the owners and operators of this business, but the heart and soul of our company really lies in our greatest source of inspiration, our sons: Finn and Skye. (Hence the names of our villa, Villa Finn, and our company, Skye Luxe Hospitality.) As any parent can likely attest, every bit of what we do is for them.

What we bring to the table (besides freshly picked local fruit, of course) is something unique - unparalleled, really, as far as we can tell, in this industry. Our style is of a yin-and-yang nature; we are what each other isn’t. Each of our skills, experiences, gifts, and talents are as opposite as it’s possible to be; the combination, however: whole and harmonious.

While Marcus is maintenance master, guest dazzler, and chef extraordinaire, Isa is the creative force behind the brand. Logo and website design is just the start; Isa creates and manages our socials, styles our villa (hello, mural), orchestrates behind-the-scenes operations, and even takes care of the less exciting (but absolutely essential) aspects of running the business (like paying taxes, accounting, and producing monthly owner-facing reports).

On top of that, we come from two completely different parts of the world, bringing with us bits of our respective cultures, in a way that is refreshingly new and inspiring.

Marcus was born and raised on St. Lucia, down island. He grew up on a farm, where the land was rich, bearing every succulent tropical fruit one could dream of. Marcus moved to St. John in 2000 - meaning, he has lived and worked here for 25 years. During that time, Marcus served as the sole manager of a luxury vacation rental property in Peter Bay for a high profile client. It was there that Marcus discovered his knack for hospitality, utilizing his captivating charm, heavenly cooking skills, and innovative construction knowledge. (Oh yeah, did I mention he also runs his own construction operation as well?)

Marcus is a man of skill, talent, hard work, and compassion. He is a pillar of our company - the face, the wit, the charisma, the drive. We are blessed to have him leading our team.

On the other side of the operation, we have Isa. Isa grew up in Connecticut; she brings to us that classic New England flare, blended with a global perspective, as she grew up traveling the world, living for periods of time in China, South Africa, and Kenya, traveling also to places like Vietnam, Thailand, Mali, Morocco, Lesotho, as well as France, England, Czech Republic, Germany, Mexico, and beyond.

Isa’s travels exposed her to the hospitality industry from the angle of the adventurer. At this stage, she knows the industry inside and out, from the perspective of both guest and host. She has been hosting guests in her villa on St. John for seven years now, having moved to this island to teach back in 2018.

Isa is passionate about delivering to her guests a curated experience that is unique, and, therefore, memorable - for she knows, intimately, that it is the memories crafted during these sacred respites from ordinary life that strengthen family bonds and leave lasting impressions.

We are delighted at the opportunity to expand our business, offering two very different accommodation spaces: Villa Finn, our small, intimate sunset sanctuary, and Villa Alondras, the pinnacle of luxury island living, with rare waterfront beach access, infinity pool, chef’s kitchen, and more.
